Liver & Gallbladder Cleanse
Author: Dr. David M. Homer N.D., C.N.C., CCT.
To cleanse and flush toxins from the liver and eliminate gallstones and biliary sludge from within the gallbladder.
Pictures of gallstones sent in by a client that did the cleanse and passed them out.
Ingredients:
- Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar which will act as a solvent in the bile to weaken adhesions between solid globules. The apple cider vinegar should be whole, unprocessed and organic.
- 4 Tablespoons Epsom Salts (magnesium sulfate) allows magnesium to be absorbed into the blood stream, relaxing smooth muscles and allowing stones to pass without spasms.
- ½ Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil which stimulates the gallbladder and bile duct to contract powerfully, thus expelling stones and any other solid waste stored in the liver and gallbladder.
- 1 Large Grapefruit (PINK grapefruit emulsifies with the oil better but regular grapefruit is fine) OR 2 small ones. The citrus juice speeds the transit of the olive oil through the stomach and into the duodenum which helps to prevent or minimize nausea.
The Procedure (4 days):
- For 3 days - prior to beginning the liver-gallbladder cleanse, mix 3 tablespoons Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar into 8 oz filtered, bottled or purified water. Drink 1 glass every 2 hours. Try to consume a ½ gallon per day for the 3 days. You may follow your BioCleanse Diet as normal.
- On the 4th day, it is IMPORTANT that you do not eat after 2 O'clock in the afternoon. Get your Epsom Salts and prepare the 4 tablespoons into 3 cups of filtered or bottled water (4 servings). Store in a jar and place in refrigerator (this is for convenience and taste only).
- 6:00 p.m. - drink first serving (3/4 cup) of the cold Epsom Salts. You may add 1/8 teaspoon vitamin C powder to improve taste of desired. You may drink water afterwards in needed.
- 8:00 p.m. - repeat another (second) ¾ cup of the Epsom Salt mix. You would not have eaten since 2:00 in the afternoon, but you should not feel hungry. Get your olive oil and grapefruit ready. Pour the ½ cup of olive oil into a pint jar (with cover). Squeeze the grapefruit into a measuring cup and remove pulp with fork you should have at least ½ cup juice but ¾ cup would be better. Add the grapefruit juice into the pint jar of olive oil. Cover lid and shake vigorously until the mix is watery.
- 10:00 p.m. - Shake and drink the olive oil / grapefruit juice portion you mixed while standing up. Drinking it through a plastic straw helps it to go down easier. Try to consume it all in about a 5 minute period. (Older weaker people can take up to 15 minutes to consume the portion).
- Lie Down Immediately! - This is IMPORTANT to get the stones out. So make sure that you have all your chores done before. Lie on your right side with your right knee drawn up toward your chest for about 20 minutes - Or you can lie flat on your back with your head elevated (on 2 pillows). Go to sleep! You may fail to get stones if you do not relax and sleep.
- Next Morning - Upon waking, take your third ¾ cup of Epsom Salt mix. Try not to take it before 6:00 a.m. (You can expect to have diarrhea in the morning). If you feel nauseous or have indigestion when you get up, take 1 tablespoons of Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar in a little water and wait for it to pass before taking the (3rd) Epsom Salt mix.
- 2 Hours Later - Take your fourth (last) dose of the Epsom Salt Mix. You may go back to bed.
- Throughout that day - You should fast with pure fluids. If you must eat, have only fruit, raw salad, and/or brothy soup.
- Next Day - You may resume your BioCleanse or BioBalance Diet as outlined.
- NOTE: If this is done outside of Dr. Homer's BioLife Cleansing or Wellness Programs©, it is highly recommended that you maintain more of a cleansing diet (more greens, salads, veggies, fruit, lots of fluids (like fresh vegetable & fruit juices and, little cooked foods for about 3-4 days.
NOTES:
1) Check your stool for gallstones. They would look from a light to a dark green color. Since they contain cholesterol, they would float and should be easy to notice. They can vary in size from a grape seed to a cherry seed. You might pass stones in further bowel movements. Expect stool to be very foul in odor.
2) The procedure should be repeated in 2 week. Depending on how many gallstones are in the liver and gallbladder, you may have to repeat the procedure every other week until you no longer notice stones in stool. It could take up to several cleanses to completely remove gallstones.
3) Taking a hydrochloric acid (HCL) tablet or capsule before bed will reduce nausea during the night. Apple Cider Vinegar can be helpful as well.
This liver-gallbladder cleanse can also be done if the gallbladder has been removed to effectively cleanse the liver and hepatic ducts.
